US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that a mass rally will be held in Washington on June 24 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence. “On Wednesday June 24th… to celebrate 250 years of our country’s history, we’re bringing you LIVE the biggest rally EVER! It’s going to be extraordinary in every way.” Trump declared on the Truth Social platform.
“We don’t want talentless singers putting you to sleep for big fees, we’ve told everyone to stay home. All we want is you, me, some speakers and the best music ever, the same music you’ve been listening to for years!”” he added in the post.
According to him, Lee Greenwood or Christopher Macchio should be among the performers. In addition, US military bands and choirs will also perform at the event.
The original concert series was scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 10 on the National Mall in Washington. The Trump administration has announced that several star performers will perform, but several of them have gradually renounced their participation.
AFP reminds that the head of the White House also wants to celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence with a martial arts match, which will be held on the grounds of the White House on June 14 – the day of his 80th birthday.
