Photographed for the first time: One of the rarest and cutest foxes in the world


It has long been considered a biological mystery that may have disappeared before science could even describe it. But now a small study by an international team of researchers has been published, which achieved what many zoologists and conservationists had thought was hardly possible: for the first time, the so-called Cozumel dwarf fox could be photographed and described – one of the rarest members of the dog family (Canidae) in the world.
