Trump threatens Iran to take over the island of Kharg and control its oil sector “like in Venezuela”
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has promised new attacks against Iran this Thursday and has threatened the enemy country with taking the island of Kharg, the great Iranian oil center, and taking “total control” of that sector, the great economic engine of the Islamic Republic, “as we have done in Venezuela.”
In a message on social networks, after two nights in a row of attacks against Iran that threaten to definitively break the ceasefire, Trump has assured: “The United States will attack Iran (whose Navy, Air Force, radar, anti-aircraft and any other form of defense, along with most of its offensive capacity, have been volatilized) very hard tonight.”
Furthermore, “at some point in the not-too-distant future, we will take Jarg Island, and other points of oil infrastructure, and assume full control of their oil and gas markets, very similar to what we have done in Venezuela, which is something that is working brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States,” adds the Republican.
The president’s text makes no reference to the negotiation process between the two countries, after having assured for weeks that a peace agreement between the two is practically ready and that Iran is eager to reach an agreement.
