At the age of only 35, the American actress Daveigh Chase, who is best remembered by the audience as the terrifying Samara from the cult horror film The Circle, has left forever. According to the portal, she succumbed to serious health complications.
Her friend Roy Hernandez confirmed the sad news for foreign media. Daveigh died on Tuesday after losing her battle with meningitis and an aggressive blood infection, he said.
These health problems caused sepsis in her and subsequently led to a total failure of the organism. Only at the beginning of this month, she had to be hospitalized in one of the hospitals in Los Angeles. The reason for the hospitalization was supposed to be severe malnutrition.
Daveigh Chase started her career in Hollywood at a rocket pace even as a child. She lent her voice to the main character Lilo in the animated hit Lilo & Stitch, and in the American dubbing of the Oscar-winning anime Journey to Fantasy, she dubbed the heroine Chihiro Ogino.
However, she was most remembered by the audience in 2002, when she portrayed the chilling Samara Morgan in the horror film The Circle. For this famous performance, she also won the MTV Movie Award in the Best Villain category. Although she had talent, fame took its toll on her.
