Trump asked Israel to agree to ceasefire with Hezbollah, newspaper says

19 Jun (Reuters) – United States President Donald Trump told NBC News in a telephone interview that he spoke with Israel this Friday and asked the country to agree to a ceasefire with the militant group Hezbollah, supported by Iran.

“Sometimes you have to calm down and use your head,” Trump reportedly said, according to an NBC reporter on X, adding that the American president refused to specify whether he had spoken directly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
