In spring, plants come to life and decorate the garden, but if we want this to happen, it is worth taking care of them in autumn. Apart from tidying up the plot, some perennials can still be planted – they will take root before winter. Siebold’s hosta is such a flower – it grows quickly and is resistant to lower temperatures. In spring it will delight you with green, lush leaves and in summer with beautiful, delicate flowers.

This flower is perfect for many gardens – it does not need a sunny position, on the contrary, it thrives in shade and partial shade. It is characterized by large, heart-shaped leaves that form dense clumps, most often reaching up to 60 cm in height. They are most often green in color, but may also be slightly silvery or have shades of yellow. The flowers are most often white or lavender.

In addition, the leaves may change color slightly depending on the exposure to sunlight – the more sun there is, the brighter they become. It usually blooms at the turn of July and August, but its large leaves make it a beautiful garden decoration, not only during this period.

This plant is not particularly demanding, it can be planted from early spring to late autumn. They take root quite easily and quickly, the only important thing is that the ground is not frozen, so it is better to do it at the beginning of November, later it may be more difficult for the plant to take root. It is best to plant it in partial shade, funka prefers slightly moist, permeable and fertile soil – you can mix the soil with compost before placing them. After planting, water the seedling abundantly and cover it with mulch to additionally protect the roots.
