HBO Max has only been available in Austria and Germany for a few weeks, but one thing was immediately clear: the service is not exactly cheap. If you don’t want to do without 4K and HDR, you currently have to pay 16.99 euros per month. Of course, it makes sense that you should share an account with others – but that’s exactly what the manufacturers don’t like to see.
