At least 31 people died and 149 others were injured as a result of Israeli attacks on the territory of Lebanon, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday. TASR informs about it according to the reports of the AFP and AP agencies. The Lebanese Ministry of Health declared that “Israeli enemy airstrikes” on the southern suburbs of Beirut and southern parts of Lebanon “resulted in the killing of 31 citizens and wounding of 149 citizens, according to initial data.”
The Israeli military announced on Monday night that it was attacking targets of the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement across Lebanon. This happened after projectiles were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel. Lebanon and Israel signed a cease-fire in November 2024, ending more than a year of fighting between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah. However, both sides have been guilty of violating it ever since.
