Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Rakan Naseredin stated that the country has recorded 394 deaths so far in the conflict between Israel and the Hezbollah group in one week, of which 83 are children.

After the joint attack on Iran by the USA and Israel, the Israeli army extended attacks south of Lebanon, to the capital Beirut and to oil storage facilities in Tehran, in the capital of the Persian country.

At the same time, Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji condemned the drone attack apparently launched from Lebanese territory hitting a British air force on the south coast of Cyprus.

“I asked our Cypriot friends to do not confuse the Lebanese State with those who act outside their authority and legal framework,” said Rajji, a staunch opponent of Hezbollah, referring to a Lebanese government decision that ordered security agencies to crack down on non-state groups that carry out attacks.

As Beirut rushes to make reparations, French president Emmanuel Macron will visit the European Union island nation on Monday (9). The attack puts Lebanon in a delicate situation, as Macron is leading the only diplomatic effort to try to stop the conflict in the country, which in addition to the deaths, is already experiencing the displacement of hundreds of thousands of inhabitants.
