Bloody attack on a medical center: 12 dead after the Israeli attack

At least 12 health workers were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a health center in southern Lebanon. the Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Saturday. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.

In a statement, the ministry expressed its “sadness over the death of medical workers in Burj Qalawiya, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a medical center in the city,” adding that “12 doctors, paramedics and nurses on duty at the time were killed and one paramedic was injured,” while rescue operations are still ongoing.

The ministry said he was “the second attack on the health sector in a matter of hours” after an attack on Sawaneh that killed two rescuers linked to the Lebanese militant movement Hezbollah and its ally, the Amal movement.

Iran-backed Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into the Middle East war, when he attacked Israel in response to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli strikes. Israel responded by launching airstrikes in Lebanon and deploying troops in border areas.
