CNJ suspends procedural deadlines due to failures in the AGU data center

Measure reaches deadlines from March 16th to 20th in courts across the country

The president of the CNJ (National Council of Justice), minister Edson Fachin, ordered the suspension of procedural deadlines that would expire from March 16th to 20th in courts and councils across the country, with the exception of the (Supreme Federal Court). The deadlines run again on March 23rd.

The decision is based on the analogous application of article 224, §1º, of the Code of Civil Procedure, and article 10, §2º, of Law 11,419/2006. The objective is to maintain the full exercise of public law and the regularity of judicial activity.

The measure comes after the AGU (Advocacy General of the Union) showed instability since February 27th. The institution’s data center has experienced slowness, intermittency and periods of unavailability. The failures compromise systems used in the management and monitoring of legal processes.

According to the technical note from the AGU Governance and Strategic Management Secretariat, cited in the CNJ order, the failures originate in physical components of the datacenter. The secretariat considers that the situation demands institutional action to minimize operational impacts.

The CNJ classifies instability as an exceptional situation, capable of generating the risk of non-compliance with court deadlines and harm to the defense of the rights and interests of the Union. Read (PDF – 822 KB).
