Documents indicate R$40 million from Master to Moraes’ wife – 04/07/2026 – Politics

Documents from the Federal Revenue sent to the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) investigating organized crime indicate that the minister’s wife’s office, Barci de Moraes Sociedade de Advogados, received R$40.11 million from Daniel Vorcaro, in 2024.

Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court), is one of the partners of the firm, who had a contract with the Master.

When contacted, Barci de Moraes said that “it does not confirm this incorrect and illegally leaked information, remembering that all tax data is confidential”. The office declined to say what the correct amount of payments would be. Moraes was contacted, but did not speak out until the publication of this text.

The payments appear in a bank’s Income Tax declaration, which had its fiscal secrecy broken by the Organized Crime CPI.

Master’s contract with the Barci de Moraes office was signed in 2024. It provided for a monthly payment of R$3.5 million, according to information released by the newspaper O Globo.

Revenue data obtained by Sheet show that the bank declared 11 monthly payments of R$3,646,529.72 to the office in 2024, totaling R$40,111,826.92.

This Tuesday (7), during the Senate plenary session, the CPI rapporteur, senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE), announced that the data had been delivered to the commission. He stated that the Federal Revenue had sent incomplete data about the bank and that the supplementary information only arrived on Monday (6).

“Even with the breach of confidentiality approved by the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry and not suspended by the Courts, the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil sent the incomplete data. It was necessary to request reiteration, supplementation, for the bank data to arrive that proves the receipt and deduction of taxes by Dr. Viviane Barci’s office. In just one year, R$ 40 million received. Consideration for service? Dr. Viviane herself has already published: nothing that justifies this amount”, said the senator.

Master’s contract with the office provided for 36 payments, but was interrupted in November 2025, when the institution and the former banker were arrested.

Vorcaro’s defense was also sought by the report, but did not comment.

Last month, Barci de Moraes confirmed that it provided consultancy and legal services to the bank between February 2024 and November 2025, a period in which it held 94 work meetings. According to the office, 79 of them were in person, at Master’s headquarters.

Barci de Moraes also says that it produced 36 legal opinions and opinions on compliance, regulation, labor and social security issues, among other topics

Also this Tuesday, Vieira had a meeting with the president of the Senate, (-AP), to ask for the extension of the Organized Crime CPI, but the response was negative. As a result, the commission will close next Tuesday (14), with a vote on the final report.

According to Vieira, he told the press, Alcolumbre preferred not to extend the CPI in the middle of the electoral period, which the senator classified as a “disservice to Brazil”.
