Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency, made a nod this Monday (27), to the MDB and stated that the party is closer to his camp than that of the “other side”, referring to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
“I’m sure that the MDB is much closer here than there. It was like that with Mayor Ricardo Nunes, it’s like that now with Felício Ramuth, excellent people in the party and I’m convinced that we’re going to do a lot for our country together”, said Flávio at Agrishow, which brings together the agribusiness sector public in Ribeirão Preto (SP), addressing Baleia Rossi, president of the MDB, present in the audience.
The statement comes at a time when the senator is trying to attract centrist parties to his campaign. The MDB, however, has a tradition of releasing its state directories in the presidential election.
Senate dispute in São Paulo
The event was also attended by the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). Flávio included the president of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, André do Prado (PL), when mentioning names that, according to him, “will do a lot for Brazil”. The senator also mentioned Tarcísio and federal deputy Guilherme Derrite (PP). The mention of Prado comes at a time when the PL is discussing pre-candidates for the State Senate.
