Genial/Quaest research released this Thursday (30) points out that the former minister (PSDB) leads the dispute for the Government of Ceará against governor Elmano de Freitas (PT), but would lose in a scenario against Camilo Santana (PT).
In the second round, Ciro beats Elmano by 46% to 35%. Against Camilo, the advantage is reversed, but by a tighter margin: he wins by 44% to 39%.
The same pattern is observed in the first round dispute. In a configuration with the current governor and without Camilo, Ciro has 41% of intentions, and Elmano, 32%. The senator (Novo) appears with 4%, and Jarir Pereira (), with 1%. Zé Batista (PSTU) does not score.
Blank or null votes total 11%. 11% don’t know.
In a first-round scenario considering Camilo instead of Elmano, Ciro gets 33%, while Lula’s former Minister of Education (PT) scores 40%. Girão has 5%, and Pereira and Batista, 1%.
The margin of error is three percentage points, plus or minus. The reliability level is 95%. The survey interviewed 1,002 voters in Ceará between the 24th and 28th of April. The research is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) and registered under number CE-01725/2026.
Ciro Gomes will accept the invitation from the president of the PSDB, Acécio Neves, to run again for the Presidency of the Republic or he will continue to compete for the Government of Ceará. In 2022, when he was in , Ciro ran for Planalto for the fourth time, coming in fourth place, with 3% of the valid votes.
After Elmano appeared behind Ciro in previous electoral polls, the former Minister of Education (PT), who resigned from the position in April, . President Lula (PT) is following the situation because he needs a strong platform in the state to help him obtain votes in the national election.
