The parents of a student at a basic school in Sintra accuse a teacher of alleged psychological abuse, stating that their daughter began to live in a climate of fear and anxiety.
According to the family’s report, the child, aged 10 and in the 4th year, began to show changes in behavior after an episode in the classroom. Since then, she has suffered from stomach pains, shortness of breath and panic attacks, often refusing to go to school.
One of the moments that most worried the parents occurred about three weeks ago, when the girl arrived home with a message in her notebook, supposedly written on the teacher’s recommendation. The text said: “Mom, I lied to you. It’s better to talk to me because I’m becoming a liar.”
The father, Rui Massano, guarantees that he tried to meet the teacher, but claims he was never received. Given the situation, the family decided to remove their daughter from the educational establishment before the end of the school year.
The case allegedly originated from a test in which the student was unable to concentrate due to the noise from younger classmates who shared the same room.
Contacted by SIC, the Alfredo da Silva School Group has not provided clarification so far, despite several attempts. SIC Notícias also advanced the case, reinforcing the complaints made by parents and the lack of response from the school management.
