Conta Lá is a television channel. It presents itself as a “multiplatform ecosystem that connects Portugal through stories and people”.

The channel is recent, it was created in September last year, but it already has many debts accumulated; more than 2 million euros. It is in crisis, April salaries have not yet been paid, says .

Paulo Salvador, one of the main faces of the channel, has already left, precisely because he was not receiving a salary. Some workers haven’t been paid for four monthsaccording to the same newspaper.

Conta Lá will also have stopped paying rent.

In October last year, it signed an agreement with Liga Portugal to stay on the 5th floor of its new building in Porto, the Arena Liga Portugal.

I would pay close to R$9,000 per month, around R$105,000 per year. A contract valid for 10 years, in which the League counted on revenue of a little more than 1 million euros.

But, according to Correio da Manhã, the television channel never paid rent. And went away at the end of February this year, 4 months after joining.

The newspaper indicates that the League of Clubs was thus harmed by thousands of euros by Conta Lá – and has to pay 27 million euros for the construction.

Liga Portugal “does not comment on private contracts”. Sérgio Figueiredo, one of the owners of Conta Lá, also declined to comment.
