Investigation cites threats and “physical pressure” on Vorcaro’s enemies

The criminal organization integrated by Daniel Vorcaroex-dono do Banco Masterhad a structure divided between “operational centers” responsible for “threat, monitoring and physical pressure” actions against the former banker’s enemies, according to an investigation by the PF (Federal Police).

According to PF reports that support the decisions of Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the case at the STF (Supreme Federal Court), the group called “The Class” was used to “perform threats, face-to-face intimidation, coercion, clandestine surveys, obtaining confidential data and improper access to government systems.”

Already the so-called “The Boys” would be focused on technological issues, “aimed at the practice of cyber attacks, telematic invasions, taking down profiles and illegal telephone and telematic monitoring”.

Both centers were managed by Felipe Mourão, known as “Sicário”, who died after attempting to kill himself on the day he was arrested by the PF in an operation launched on March 4. It was at this same stage that Vorcaro himself was arrested again, after the .

In a conversation with Sicário in July 2024, Vorcaro requested that journalist Lauro Jardim, from the newspaper O Globo, be hacked. The messages were obtained by Fantástico and published on Sunday (17).

“I need to hack this Lauro”. The intermediary replied: “I’ll have it done. I’ve already asked the boys to do it. Send it to the email.

According to the investigation, Sicário also stated that he tried to attract the journalist via WhatsApp, posing as a reporter to send a malicious link, but that the approach did not make any progress.

The actions of these centers were detailed in Mendonça’s decision that authorized , father of the former banker, last Thursday (14). In total, seven preventive arrest warrants were issued. Two people are at large.

One of them, suspected of being one of the members of the group “The boys”. He was detained on Saturday (16) in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

The PF also gathered information about people who had suffered intimidation carried out by the group A Turma. The former captain of Vorcaro’s yacht, Luis Felipe Woyceichoski, reported having been threatened with death by seven men, one of whom identified himself as “Manoel”. The investigation identified the man as bookworm Manoel Mendes Rodrigues.

Leandro Garcia, former head of Vorcaro’s house in Angra dos Reis, stated that he was approached in a hotel by two men: Filipe Mourão and Manoel or Emanuel.

“These elements not only place Manoel in the factual context of intimidation, but also place him, in theory, as one of the identifiable executors of the face-to-face arm of the organization, in concrete actions of threat, monitoring and physical pressure on Daniel Vorcaro’s enemies”, points out Mendonça.
