Boulos calls PL support on a 4 x 3 scale “fake”

Minister says that the opposition’s attempt to propose a 4-day working day is an attempt to delay the vote on the end of the 6 x 1 scale

The Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, (Psol-SP), stated, this Wednesday (May 27, 2026), that the PL’s attempt to present a preference highlight during the vote on the PEC that abolishes the 6 X 1 scale is an attempt to delay the vote and does not represent “commitment” real with the workers.

“It was a fake 4 x 3 from PL”said Boulos when questioned by journalists. “There was no commitment to the workers and, in fact, they made a point of saying so publicly.”

The PL leader in the Chamber, (RJ), the day before the party would highlight its preference to prioritize the vote on the proposal by congresswoman Erika Hilton (Psol-SP), which establishes a working day of 4 days and 3 days of rest.

Planalto assesses that the strategy attempted to create political wear and tear for the president’s government (PT), forcing allies to reject a more advantageous proposal for the worker.

Boulos said that negotiations had been taking place since the previous week and that the result in the special commission was “significant”. The government’s expectation was that the plenary would reflect the same score.

The minister announced that he would personally go to the Chamber plenary to monitor the vote, alongside other ministers. The perspective, according to him, is one of approval “consecrator” both in the 1st and 2nd round of the PEC.

Regarding the Senate, Boulos assessed that the president of the Upper House, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), demonstrated a willingness to vote for the end of the 6 X 1 scale “with the speed that society expects”. The government’s goal is to complete the process before the parliamentary recess.
