Iran carried out a drone attack on Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday. Several people were injured and airport operations were suspended, Kuwaiti authorities said. The target of the attack was the passenger terminal. TASR informs about it according to AP and AFP reports.
The spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Saud Abd al-Aziz Utaybi, described the attack as “a criminal Iranian aggression that caused significant material damage’ to the airport building and resulted in personal injuries.
The drone strike followed Iran and the United States firing missiles at each other late Tuesday. The US military said it carried out attacks on Iranian military facilities in retaliation for previous Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait and Bahrain. supplied by AP.
