The senator (-RJ) is considering transferring Brasília to the main structure of his pre-campaign for the Presidency. The idea has been defended behind the scenes by the pre-candidate’s group.
Part of the pre-campaign hard core argues that the installation of the HQ in São Paulo would facilitate Flávio’s agendas with the business community and with two of his main electoral leaders, the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), and the mayor of São Paulo, ().
Defenders of the change also claim that the capital of São Paulo concentrates the largest number of voters and favors travel to other cities in the country.
Different factors are still being considered by the pre-campaign, such as Flávio’s safety, currently under . The possibility of change was communicated to the Legislative Police last week.
Until now, Flávio had decided to install the main campaign structure in Brasília to be closer to his wife and daughters, who live with him, and his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), .
The party’s idea was to maintain two houses in Lago Sul, an upscale region of the Federal District. Flávio would use one of the properties for political meetings and the other to house most of the team.
