A new EU-wide program to research the multisystem disease ME/CFS will start on July 1st. The “DISCOVER-ME” project, funded with more than 7.5 million euros, is led by the immunologist, ME/CFS and post-Covid expert Eva Untersmayr-Elsenhuber from the Center for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology at the Med-Uni Vienna. She is also one of the two directors of the National PAIS Reference Center. The goals are better diagnostics and treatment strategies.
