Corinthians beat Northwest 2-1 this Saturday (1) for the sixth round of the Paulista Championship. In the Chemistry Arena, under a lot of rain, coroned and Talles Magno marked Timon, while Pedro Felipe discounted for visitors.
Despite their relatively quiet victory, Corinthians missed many chances. In the first half, goalkeeper Felipe Alves was responsible for preventing a more elastic score, defending three kicks from Memphis Depay.
In the second stage, Timon had a goal from Romero annulled by impediment. Before expanding, Talles Magno also stopped in the hands of Felipe Alves. Northwest’s main chance in the match took place at the end of the second half. Carlão took advantage of Yuri Alberto’s failure and hit him low, but Hugo Souza made a beautiful defense.

Corinthians had another goal canceled before the final whistle. Yuri Alberto crossed to Charles, but the ball hit the player’s arm before entering the goal.
