It is common that the ending -ski and -cki mean noble origin. There is a grain of truth in this, but it is not conclusive evidence. Prof. Monika Kresa, a linguist from the University of Warsaw, emphasized in an interview with PAP that surnames ending in this cluster of letters may actually indicate noble origin, but only if they are local surnames.
In those times, people of higher birth identified themselves by their name and the land they owned. A nobleman who had, among other things, a given village, even if Suchów referred to itself as, for example, Tomasz of Suchów. However, as the number of inhabitants increased, noblemen began to add the suffixes -ski or -cki to their surnames. Thus creating, among others: Tomasz Suchowski. In this case, having this type of surname, we can actually trace it to noble origin.
However, the above-mentioned example is not clear evidence, because, as the expert points out, the number of people increased. For example, during the partitions, noble surnames could also be given under pressure to all people working in a given town. In addition the peasantry often did not want to identify themselves with a nickname, and they could not identify themselves with a town, and this is how surnames such as Gołębiewski were created. However, it had little to do with nobility, because the surname did not come from an estate, and yet it had a suffix indicating theoretically noble origin.
Therefore, a look at your ID card and a quick analysis of your surname may suggest a noble origin. Still, much better analysis is needed to be sure that we had a nobleman in the family.

It is best to create a family tree – we can do it ourselves or use the help of people who deal with it on a daily basis. A good option to quickly check your name is to use websites that collect it. If we have such an opportunity, it is worth asking the doyens of the family about their ancestors – thanks to this we should go back at least to the 19th century, which can tell us a lot about the origins.
When looking for noble origins, we should search family documents – it is worth looking for information such as the family coat of arms, because it may also indicate that we come from a noble family.
