Security forces execute warrants against criminal organization by planning attacks and mass escape
The (Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime in Tocantins) launched an operation against a criminal organization on the morning of this Friday (4.ab.2025). The action took place in 3 cities of Tocantins.
Investigations pointed out that the faction, with leaders acting from inside the prisons, planned attacks against members of the judiciary and public safety, as well as a mass escape through rebellion.
Ficco/TO, which brings together Federal Police, Civil Police, Military Police and State Penal Police, served 7 search and seizure warrants in prison units of Palmas, Araguaína and Cariri. The warrants were issued by the State Court based on evidence collected during the investigation.
The crimes investigated include criminal association, threat, false alarm, crime or criminal apology and attempted abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law. The penalties for these offenses can exceed 16 years in prison.
The “Criminalis Littera” operation, which means “Criminal Letter” in Latin, refers to the extensive criminal record of the investigated and the severity of planned crimes.
The action reinforces the importance of integrated work of state and federal security forces in the investigation, prevention and repression of criminal organizations and violent crime, protecting citizens and democratic institutions.
