A license plate in the western stands of Morumbis fell on four fans in the ground floor during the match between Sao Paulo and Libertad, on Wednesday (14), by Libertadores. The dispute ended in 1×1.
Three fans were injured and two were taken to Campo Limpo Hospital and then transferred to Albert Einstein in Morumbi.
According to the club, after the goal of Lucca Marques, 17, a group of fans who was in the western stands of the stadium celebrated by beating a metal plate, which gave in and fell in the lower year of the stadium.
“The images are being analyzed for the identification of those responsible,” the club said in a statement.
The two wounded that needed to be taken to the São Father and Son Hospital and are 49 and 17 years old. The older one suffered a cut in the head and the youngest had slight abrasions. They received first aid at the stadium.
The club reported that it monitors and provides assistance to fans.

The fan Alexandre Edward, son and brother of the two men admitted to the hospital, published a series of videos on Instagram and questioned the club’s official note.
According to him, his brother suffered several cuts in his head and the injuries are not light. Edward said his father is in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). He also complained about the service after the accident.
“I entered the field to ask for help, because no one was providing help,” he said. “I had to stain my blood face to ask for help.”
