A woman arrested for stealing books from a municipal library in Cádiz and then selling them on Wallapop | News from Andalusia

The National Police have arrested a woman who continually stole books from the municipal library of El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) to subsequently profit from their sale on a platform.

In the investigation that led to the arrest, the Police have managed to recover 127 books, whose value exceeds 2,000 euros, according to the Police in a press release.

According to police investigations, the woman stole the books and sold them. The investigation has required “especially complex” work on the part of the Police since many of the stolen copies had been acquired by buyers residing in different parts of Spain, such as Burgos, Pontevedra, Barcelona, ​​Madrid or Castellón.

The agents contacted the buyers to coordinate the return of the books to the Municipal Library.
