The popular plebiscite on the exemption from the end of the 6×1 scale, with 60% deposited in person, according to the consultation’s organizing committee.
For 103 days, between July and October, ballot boxes were placed at the headquarters of popular movements, parties and associations across the country, to collect votes. It was also possible to vote online.
The results will be delivered this week by those responsible for the plebiscite to the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), in a hearing. The meeting coincides with the forecast of voting on the project that exempts IR in the House Economic Affairs Committee.

Social movements responsible for the consultation say they will continue the campaign for tax justice and reduced working hours.
“After the plebiscite voting process, we will continue the fight and pressure the National Congress so that high income earners pay more taxes and reduce working hours”, says Igor Felippe Santos, from the national executive committee of the popular plebiscite.
