Unesp (Universidade Estadual Paulista) announced this Tuesday (11) a new and unprecedented method of entry into its undergraduate courses: the Unesp-Enem 2026 Selection Process.
This is the first time that the public institution reserves direct places exclusively based on the Enem (National High School Exam) scores from the 2024 or 2025 editions, offering an additional option to the traditional entrance exam.
The new modality offers 729 places in courses distributed across 23 cities in the state of São Paulo. Only courses for which entry requires proof of specific skills are excluded.
Registration will take place from November 24th to January 19th, 2026, exclusively via the Vunesp website. The registration fee is R$20.
There is also the possibility of requesting an exemption or reduction of 50% of the fee, with the deadline for registering requests between November 17th and 23rd.
“The Unesp-Enem Selection Process is another important step by Unesp to expand the ways of entering the university, giving opportunities to millions of Enem enrollees in 2024 and 2025”, stated the academic superintendent of the Vunesp Foundation, professor Renato Eugênio da Silva.
Public schools
In addition to the 729 places in Unesp-Enem, 5,867 have already been offered in the Unesp 2026 Vestibular (the second phase of which will take place on December 7 and 8), 934 places in Provão Paulista, 144 in the Unesp Mid-Year Vestibular 2026, 16 in Unesp-Enem Mid-Year 2026, and more than 400 additional places for participants in knowledge olympics.
There is no restriction for the candidate to participate in more than one form of entry at Unesp, making it possible to enroll in all modalities.
