Dollar fell once again and closed at R$5.18, the lowest index since May 2024
Ibovespa renewed its record and closed this Wednesday (11) up 2.03%, at 189,699 points. During the day the Brazilian stock exchange reached over 190 thousand points, but lost strength at closing, however, it secured the new record.
The scholarship results come on the day of the release of the Quaest survey, which showed that Flávio Bolsonaro, pre-candidate for President and son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, reduced Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s advantage to five pointscurrent Brazilian president.
On the other hand, the dollar fell once again and closed at R$5.18, the lowest index since the beginning of 2024. A result that comes after a specific increase shortly after the release of the employment report (payroll) in the USA, when it reached a maximum of R$5.2040, the dollar operated in negative territory throughout the session.
With a low of 5.1695, at the end of the morning, it closed down 0.18%, at R$5.1876, again at the lowest level since May 28, 2024. The dollar fell 1.14% in February, after falling 4.40% in January. For the year, losses are 5.49%.
