A wave of Russian drone attacks have once again hit civilian targets across Ukraine, claiming more lives

A woman was killed in the port city of Odessa after an enemy drone caused a fire in a residential building. The critical situation also persists in the Zaporozhye region, where the Russian army launched more than 650 strikes within 24 hours, hitting dozens of settlements.

A Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Odesa overnight Saturday caused a fire in a residential building and claimed the life of a woman inside, Governor Oleh Kiper said. ASR writes about it according to the reports of the DPA and AFP agencies.

Casualties and injuries

“Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Unfortunately, one woman died in the attack,” Kiper wrote on the Telegram platform. He added that the explosions accompanying the drone strikes broke windows on neighboring buildings.

Attacks on the Zaporozhye region, located northeast of the Black Sea port region, have claimed at least one life and injured three others in the past 24 hours, the head of the local military administration, Ivan Fedorov, said. He added that Moscow had carried out a total of 655 attacks on 41 settlements in the area.

Injuries in the Kyiv region

Another two people were injured in the attacks in the Kyiv region, said the head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnik. He added that one man suffered numerous injuries and a woman suffered a broken shoulder in the fire of their house, which was caused by a drone attack in the Vyšhorod district. Both were then taken to the hospital and the fire was extinguished.

The latest deadly attacks come as heads of state, government and other high-ranking officials gather for the 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC), where one of the main topics is the war in Ukraine.
