the term “boecio”, used by the founder of , , to refer to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), means, in a figurative sense, a person considered ignorant or of little intelligence. The word appears in messages found on the former banker’s cell phone – to which the Poder360 had access – during an investigation by .
In conversation with his girlfriend, Martha Graeff, Vorcaro comments on a publication made by Bolsonaro about an operation involving Master titles. The post mentioned a newspaper report The Globe which said that managers at Caixa Econômica Federal were fired after blocking a R$500 million operation with bank papers, considered “risky” e “atypical”.
After publication, Vorcaro stated that he had received calls from allies, including the senator (PP-PI). Said that “I couldn’t take it off” the air report and wrote: “Someone said it was a PT thing and he posted it.” Then he added: “Dude is a Boeotian.”
WHAT DOES “BEOTIOUS” MEAN?
The adjective “boecio”, according to the dictionary Aureliooriginally refers to someone from Boeotia, a region of Ancient Greece. Over time, the word began to be used figuratively to describe people considered ignorant, simple-minded or unintelligent.
The term derives from the Latin Boeotianwhich comes from the Greek Boiotósused to identify the inhabitants of Boeotia, a region located in central Greece.
In Athenian literature, the Boeotians were often portrayed as a rustic and unsophisticated people compared to the Athenians. This representation contributed to the term acquiring the pejorative meaning it retains to this day.
VORCARO PRISON
The PF (Federal Police) launched the 3rd phase of the . Daniel Vorcaro, was in São Paulo and taken to the Superintendence in the capital of São Paulo. The arrest order came from STF (Supreme Federal Court) minister André Mendonça.
In , the corporation informed that the objective of the action is “investigate the possible commission of crimes of threat, corruption, money laundering and invasion of computer devices, carried out by a criminal organization”.
ZERO COMPLIANCE OPERATION
The operation was started by the PF on November 18, 2025. In the two previous phases, 52 cell phones, more than R$2.6 million in cash, a plane worth R$200 million, 30 weapons and vehicles valued at more than R$25 million.
The investigations began in 2024, at the request of the MPF (Federal Public Ministry), which requested the verification of signs of manufacture and sale of false credit securities by institutions that are part of the SFN (National Financial System) and circulation of “bad assets” to hide financial losses.
At the center of the investigations are Banco Master, from Vorcaro, and managers, executives and businesspeople linked to investment funds and operations with credit securities. The institution was created by the Central Bank on November 18, 2025.
Vorcaro had been preventively arrested in the 1st phase of the operation. On November 28, 2025, the TRF-1 (Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region) released Vorcaro. He put on an electronic ankle monitor and began to comply with precautionary measures. Read the decision (PDF – 74 kB).
