Cocktail inspired by the US Open costs R$141.20 and is sold during the tournament held in California
The organizers of the tennis tournament, held in California (USA), launched an original cocktail that went viral on social media. Called , the drink costs US$27 (R$141.2, the dollar quoted at R$5.23) and is made with a tequila base with pineapple slices cut into the shape of tennis balls.
The drink was inspired by the cocktail that became a symbol of and generates millions of dollars in sales during the Grand Slam held in New York.
It has a greenish color and is served in a themed cup that bears the names of champions from previous editions of the tournament. The Indian Wells organization started selling the drink from the 2025 edition onwards.

In addition to the new cocktail, the tournament also offers other options on the menu, such as “La Piña Picante”, prepared with jalapeño pepper, and “The Fritz”, a reinterpretation of the traditional Aperol Spritz.
The success of themed drinks at sporting events gained prominence with the US Open. In 2024, the tournament earned US$12.8 million from the sale of the “Honey Deuce”. The amount was more than double the prize paid to the singles champions, who received US$5 million each.
