The Minister of Planning, , agreed to join the PSB to run for the Senate in São Paulo. The formalization of her entry into the party will take place at the end of next week.
Tebet currently belongs to , but the party in the state is controlled by leaders opposing President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, which requires a party change.
She must join the ticket headed by Fernando Haddad (PT) for the government of São Paulo. The other Senate seat is still open, but should be filled by Minister Marina Silva, of the Environment. Another position that is still undefined is that of Haddad’s deputy.
