The B55 innovation hub, created by Guilherme Benchimol, founder of XP, André Street, from Stone, and David Vélez, from Nubank, signed a cooperation agreement with the Instituto Caldeira, from Porto Alegre, to bring together the entrepreneurial communities of São Paulo (SP) and the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.
The announcement was made this Thursday (26) and focuses on the joint implementation of events, programs and initiatives aimed at the internationalization of business.

According to the institutions, the partnership is based on three main axes: content co-creation, joint development of programs and actions and collaboration on international fronts, such as business missions and global programs.
In practice, the idea is for the two networks to share contacts, agendas and opportunities, integrating the innovation ecosystems of the two cities.
“The agreement arises from the alignment of purpose between two initiatives that believe in the power of connections and human capital to generate value,” stated Cristhiano Faé, co-founder and CEO of B55, in a statement.

According to him, the cooperation aims to facilitate access for entrepreneurs to environments and communities that support them in their daily lives, especially for those traveling between São Paulo and Porto Alegre.
On the Rio Grande do Sul side, Instituto Caldeira — a hub that brings together startups, companies and investment funds in Porto Alegre — sees the partnership as a way to expand its operations beyond Rio Grande do Sul.

“This partnership expands Caldeira’s ability to connect entrepreneurs, companies and initiatives between two of the country’s main innovation hubs,” said Pedro Valério, CEO of the institute.
