According to the police, the fleeing thieves caused millions of dollars worth of damage and may be tens of kilometers away.
PRAGUE: Since Saturday morning, the Prague police have been investigating an explosion in the Jižní město housing estate, in which unknown perpetrators apparently opened and robbed ATMs. At least two fled the scene on electric scooters, TASR writes, according to Novinky.cz and iDnes portals.
The explosion was reported around 04:20 in the morning. Upon arrival, the police officers discovered two damaged and stolen ATMs, which the perpetrators apparently opened with the help of explosives. Police pyrotechnicians also intervened on the spot.
The police are looking for the perpetrators
The police of the Czech Republic stated on the X social network that the perpetrators could have walked tens of kilometers from the ATMs and the total damage is estimated at several million Czech crowns. However, the exact amount is not yet known.
