The United Arab Emirates said on Monday that falling debris from the intercepted attack injured one person in the industrial zone of Abu Dhabi. TASR writes about it according to the AFP agency. “The incident resulted in moderate injuries to a Ghanaian national” in the Musaffa area of Abu Dhabi after being successfully intercepted by air defense systems, the emirate’s government media office reported on the X portal.
On Sunday, authorities in the emirate of Sharjah said they were “dealing with an incident targeting Khor Faqan”, a key port in the Gulf of Oman. The injured there were Pakistani nationals and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on X that he was “deeply concerned”.
Gulf countries have borne the brunt of Iran’s retaliatory attacks since the US and Israel launched attacks against it in late February. The United Arab Emirates is the main target of missiles and drones fired over the Persian Gulf.
