When investigating the scheme, the PF claimed to have found payments from a company linked to Careca to a company owned by Luchsinger, totaling R$1.5 million.
In a message seized by the police, Careca asks an operator to transfer R$300,000 to a company in Luchsinger’s name. The resources transferred to the businesswoman, according to the PF, were justified by services that were not carried out.
The police also transcribed an exchange of messages in which Luchsinger told Baldy: “Get rid of those phones. Throw them away.”
Last year, the PF identified Luchsinger’s actions as “essential for the concealment of assets, movement of values and management of bank accounts and business structures used as instruments of money laundering.”
In parallel, a Careca employee, Edson Claro, said in a statement that the lobbyist paid Lulinha monthly and that he publicly flaunted his connection with the son of the President of the Republic. However, there are no direct transfers from the lobbyist to him.
Luchsinger denies wrongdoing and that of the President of the Republic’s son.

The defense has always denied that the president’s son was involved in any illegality. He has not been charged in the case nor considered formally investigated.
Careca from INSS has been in prison since last September. In a statement to the INSS CPI at the time, he said that he is a businessman whose prosperity is “the result of honest and dedicated work” and that he does not have “assets arising from theft or any illicit practice”.
