The White House is responding again to the growing speculation about the health of 79-year-old Donald Trump. Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt explained Thursday that the patches and bruises on the president’s right hand were a combination of “constant handshakes” and regular aspirin use, which increases bruising.
The White House said on Thursday that behind wearing patches on the right hand of US President Donald Trump is a frequent handshake. TASR informs about it according to the report of the AFP agency.
- Leavitt said the reason for the patches on Trump’s hand is the frequent handshakes.
- Trump regularly takes aspirin, which the White House says contributes to the formation of bruises.
- The President emphasizes that his state of health is excellent.
Leavittová: In the past, the president literally shook hands all the time
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt thus repeated the answer she gave to reporters a few months ago, when speculations about the health of the 79-year-old president spread on the Internet due to a bruise on his right hand covered with a thick layer of makeup.
“As for the band-aids on his hand, we’ve given you an explanation for that as well. In the past, the president literally shook hands all the time. He also takes aspirin daily, which was confirmed by his previous examinations and which may contribute to the bruising you see,” Leavitt said.
Donald Trump’s health
Trump has repeatedly defended his health and compared it to that of his predecessor, Joe Biden. He is said to have lost his mental faculties to such an extent that he was unable to rule by the end of his term.
On Tuesday, the American president published a post on the Truth Social platform in which he compared the investigations into his health to “rebellion, maybe even treason.” Trump underwent a medical examination in October, including a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and according to his doctor, he is in excellent health.
