Singer Tomáš Bezdeda (40) became known throughout Slovakia thanks to the first series of the singing show Slovakia is looking for a Superstar, in which he finished in 3rd place. During his time in the show, he sang the songs of many music stars. Among them was the Tublatanka group.
Tublatanka, one of the most iconic Slovak rock bands, maintains incredible popularity across generations even after decades. The charismatic members of the band, especially the unmistakable leader Maťo Ďurinda, are a symbol of honest rock and unforgettable hits for fans to this day.
Not long ago, Bezdeda met his favorite band and boasted about it on the social network. “The legend Tublatanka, today it was an honor to talk about music and other things. I’ve known Ďuri Topor for a long time, I guess for 18 years, that’s quite a number, the age of a young person. A great bass player, but also what a great guitarist. We spent quite a lot of time with the guitars, it always gave me something“, he revealed.
He has a unique experience with the lead singer. “Maťa Ďurinda, I remember how I rang his doorbell after the first round of Superstar, when I sang the song “Dnes”. Maťo immediately invited me to his house and showed me the guitars, and I, as a 19-year-old boy in my graduation year, just stared with my mouth open and said to myself, wow, I must be dreaming. Life is beautiful and music is wonderful,” he recalled.
Ďurinda himself commented on the post. “Well, today you can ring the bell again… Only there will be a lot more of us. We’ve grown and so have you,” he bequeathed to him. “Yes… That would be really fun,” he imagined Bezdeda’s situation. You can find their common PHOTO in the gallery.
