Lula announces investments for airports

With the presence of the president, the event will take place this Wednesday (Feb 11) from 11 am, at Palácio do Planalto

The president (PT) announces this Wednesday (11.Feb.2026) an investment plan to expand airport operational capacity that will cover São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and Pará.

The event will be held from 11 am at Palácio do Planalto, in Brasília. The president of , , and the Minister of Ports and Airports, , also participate.

According to the government, during the implementation of the project, it is estimated that more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs will be created. In total, R$4.64 billion will be invested to strengthen the expansion, modernization and maintenance plan at 11 airports in the country.

They are:

  • Congonhas (São Paulo/SP);
  • Campo Grande (MS);
  • Ponta Porã (MS);
  • Corumbá (MS);
  • Santarém (PA);
  • Marabá (PA);
  • Carajás (PA);
  • Altamira (PA);
  • Uberlândia (MG);
  • Uberaba (MG);
  • Montes Claros (MG).
