Potato casserole that always succeeds. Thanks to this ingredient, it has more flavor

A casserole made of grated potatoes and minced meat is an idea for a filling, home-made dinner without having to stand at the kitchen for a long time. First, the mass is prepared from raw, grated potatoes, seasoned with salt, pepper, oregano and thyme. Eggs and cheese are added to it, mixed and placed at the bottom of the dish. Then it is layered with minced meat, which gives the dish more flavor and satiety. Another portion of potato mass is placed on top and covered with mayonnaise, which will create a golden crust during baking. The dish is easy to make, very aromatic and always a success.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 large potatoes (about 700 g),
  • 300 g of minced pork,
  • 3 eggs,
  • 150 g yellow cheese (e.g. cheddar),
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • sweet and hot peppers,
  • oregano,
  • thyme,
  • sun,
  • pepper.

How to do it:

1. Peel the potatoes and grate them on a large grater. In the second bowl, prepare the grated cheese.

2. Add grated cheese and beaten eggs to the potato mass. Season everything with salt, pepper, oregano and thyme. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

3. Divide the potato mass into two equal parts. Place one part evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.

4. Place the minced pork on the layer of grated potatoes. Season them with salt, pepper, sweet and hot pepper.

5. Then place the remaining potato mass on top. Level the casserole and spread with mayonnaise.

6. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Bake the prepared casserole for 45-50 minutes. Serve hot.
