Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Monday that Israel’s military offensive against Iran is “not over yet”. According to him, this operation weakens Iran’s leadership, TASR writes, according to reports from the AFP agency and The Times of Israel (TOI) news portal.
- Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the Israeli military offensive against Iran continues.
- Netanyahu claims that Israel’s actions so far are significantly weakening the Iranian leadership.
- According to Netanyahu, Israel’s goal is to incite the Iranians to overthrow the tyranny.
- On February 28, the US and Israel launched a preventive military operation against Iran.
- Donald Trump has announced that the war against Iran is almost completely over.
“Our goal is to lead the Iranian people to throw off the burden of tyranny. But the final decision rests with them. But there is no doubt that we are breaking their bones with the steps we have taken so far – and we are not done yet.” Netanyahu said.
He claims that if Israel succeeds together with the Iranian people they will “reach a permanent end” and bring about change. According to him, Israel’s position in the world has already seen a “huge change”. On February 28, the US and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, which they described as a pre-emptive strike aimed at eliminating immediate threats to regional and global security, while the main one is Tehran’s alleged attempt to acquire nuclear weapons. On the very first day of the operation, Iran’s supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.
In response to this operation, Iran launched attacks on Israel and Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, where American bases are located. US President Donald Trump declared on Monday that the war against Iran is almost completely over. As recently as Sunday, he said that he will decide on the end of this war together with Israel. Netanyahu will participate in this decision, but according to his own words, the US president will have the final say.
