  • wheat flour – 200 g,
  • large eggs – 5 pieces,
  • butter – 1 cube,
  • powdered sugar – 200 g,
  • yeast – 20 g,
  • milk – 5 tablespoons,
  • lemon jelly – 1 package,
  • raisins – 200 g,
  • shelled walnuts – 50 g,
  • candied orange peel – 50 g.

How to prepare a lemon cake from a cake tin for Easter?

  1. Grind the yolks with sugar, add flour and jelly. Mix everything thoroughly.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk and leave to ferment a bit. Then add them to the dough and mix.
  3. Time for dried fruit. Add previously soaked raisins, chopped nuts and orange peel to the dough.
  4. Beat the egg whites with a little sugar until stiff and add them to the dough in batches, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the dough into a cake tin greased and sprinkled with breadcrumbs or semolina. Bake in an oven preheated to 160 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. Before taking it out, be sure to check with a stick whether the cake is ready. If necessary, extend the baking time.

You can serve the prepared cake on the Easter table by sprinkling it with powdered sugar. It is an excellent alternative to the traditional sand cake.
