In Hungary, the results of all elections were accepted after the regime change, and it will not be any different after the April elections, stated Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in an interview for the öt.hu server on Monday.
He did so in response to the question of what will happen on April 13, i.e. the day after the parliamentary elections, if all parties accept the election results. The correspondent of TASR in Budapest informs about it. “At the moment I don’t see anything extraordinary, it will be a peaceful country even after the elections,” responded Orbán.
The prime minister also touched on the issue of Ukrainian or Russian influence on the election campaign. “Everyone can be sure that Ukrainians recruited IT specialists to the (opposition) TISZA party. Ukrainians developed mobilization systems for the party, for which they did not pay,” claims Orbán, who emphasized that the parties of the Hungarian government bloc According to him, Fidesz-KDNP, on the other hand, have no cooperation with the Russians.
Commenting on the possible record voter turnout in the April parliamentary elections, Orbán said that in Hungary, when the political atmosphere is heated, the voter turnout even exceeds 70 percent.
The prime minister also pointed out that, according to him, there is a plan to rob Hungarians, while his government knows how to fight against it. According to him, however, its opponents do not know, but perhaps they do not even want to prevent it. “They want to rob us in three ways: they want us to switch to expensive energy, they want us to be involved in financing the war in Ukraine, and they want to change the rules according to which we taxed large companies and gave this money to families.” specified Viktor Orbán.
