Genial/Quaest: 68% of Brazilians are in favor of ending the 6×1 scale

A survey released this Monday (18) shows, however, that support drops to 39% if the change results in a salary reduction

Genial/Quaest research released this Monday (18) shows that 68% of Brazilians they are in favor of the end 6×1 scale – six days of work for one of rest. The survey shows that 22% of the population and against the proposalwhile 7% are neither for nor against 3% did not know or did not respond.

What if there is a salary reduction?

The scenario changes when interviewees are asked about the end of the scale related to a possible salary cut. The survey details the position of Brazilians according to political preferences. In relation to voters who declare that they voted for President Lula (PT) in the second round of 2022, 77% they are favorable to the end of the 6×1 scale e 14% are against. Methodology

The Genial/Quaest survey carried out 2,004 interviews, in 120 municipalities, between May 8th and 11th. The estimated margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points, with a 95% confidence level. The survey is registered with the Electoral Court under number BR-03598/2026.
