After years, the entire Vyšehrad Four will meet in Brussels in person. The new Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar is also scheduled to negotiate with the Slovak Prime Minister.
In addition to his first participation in the European Union summit as prime minister, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar will hold several negotiations in Brussels on Thursday, including a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. This was pointed out on Wednesday by the server index.hu, which adds that the leaders of the Vyšehrad Four (V4) will hold personal negotiations before the summit itself for the first time in many years, reports the TASR correspondent in Budapest.
After the EU summit in March, the heads of state and government of the Union member states will meet on Thursday at the beginning of the two-day summit. They will discuss, among other things, the next EU budget to be presented in 2028, European competitiveness and Ukraine.
At last week’s press conference, Magyar said that he will hold bilateral negotiations with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Brussels and will also participate in pre-summit consultations of member states that reject illegal migration.
