According to official data provided by IMWM, thermometers in Słubice showed 40.5 degrees Celsius and in Toruń 40.3 degrees. Currently, the heat wave is ending and cooling will appear throughout Poland. . In the second part of the week, a colder atmospheric front will pass through Poland, bringing significant cooling. Temperatures will drop to around 20-25 degrees Celsius, and in the north and in the foothill areas they will be even lower. Showers and thunderstorms will still be possible, although their intensity will gradually decrease. The end of the period promises to be more moderate, with more pleasant temperatures and more moments of sunshine. However, forecasters indicate that we must be ready for renewed hot attacks this year.

The African hot air front sweeping through Europe has not yet said its last word. The Ventusky weather portal indicates that Europe will face another heat wave. Temperatures are expected to start rising early next week. The data shows that there will again be places where thermometers will exceed 40 degrees Celsius. ECMWF weather models also indicate that the weather will begin to change around July 7. The most difficult situation will be in Portugal and Spain, where up to 43 degrees Celsius is forecast. Slightly less, because “only” 42 degrees Celsius will be in France. In Poland, the situation will be more favorable, and temperatures are expected to fluctuate around 30 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, the weather will become more and more hot again. Already around 10 a.m. warm air will settle over Poland again, and thermometers will indicate 38 degrees Celsius.
