Shot attack hit students in the school courtyard in Sobral; Another 3 were injured and suspects fled motorcycle
Videos recorded the Campos Velhos neighborhood in Sobral (CE). The episode on the morning of this Thursday (25.Set.2025) left 2 dead and 3 injured. The victims were identified as Vitor Guilherme (VG) and Claudio.
The attack took place during the break, in the courtyard and in the school corridors. According to SSPDS-CE (Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense), the shots were made by people who were on the sidewalk of the institution. The motivation of the crime has not yet been clarified.
In one of the videos, you can see the suspects coming by motorcycle, running to school and firing at the students. Then they returned to the motorcycle and fled the scene.

During the occurrence, security forces seized a drug, precision scale and packaging. The 3 injured students were rescued by SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and sent to health facilities. Their state of health was not disclosed.
Luiz Felipe State School serves more than 1,100 high school students and has 54 teachers, according to the 2024 School Census. SSPDS-CE reported that all security forces efforts are being used to locate and capture those responsible for the attack.

“SSPDS-CE (Ceará Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat) reports that all security forces efforts are currently being employed to locate and capture those involved in the deaths of 2 adolescents, not yet formally identified, registered, on the morning of Thursday (25.Set.2025), in a school in the municipality of Sobral, in the Integrated Security Area 14 (AIS 14).
“Another 3 victims, not yet formally identified, were also injured by firearm shots and rescued to health facilities in the region. The suspects fired firearm shots along the school’s sidewalk, hitting the victims in the institution’s parking lot.
“In the occurrence, a drug, precision scale and packaging were seized with one of the victims. Teams from PM-CE (Ceará Military Police), PC-CE (Ceará State Civil Police) and Pefoce (Forensic Forensics of the State of Ceará) were triggered and are in place conducting the first surveys on the fact that is underway.
“The 1st Sobral Civil Police Station, with the support of the North Interior Judicial Police Department (DPJI-Norte) act in the investigation of the case. SSPDS points out that the region has received PMCE ostensive policing reinforcement.”
