A maid of the former , , goalkeeper, was detained along with another person a few days after the theft of five of his luxury watches, police and the Spanish press reported this Friday (24). The National Police clarified “the theft of five high-end watches that occurred inside the residence of a former professional player in Madrid”, the agency said in a statement. When asked about the identity of the victim, the police did not respond, but several Spanish media outlets point to Iker Casillas, former captain of the Spanish national team, winner of the 2010 World Cup and three Champions Leagues.
“The complaint was filed on October 16th and, after a quick investigation, on October 21st a man and a woman were arrested” who “intended to leave the country imminently”, added the police. “The woman worked as a maid at the residence”, specifies the text, stating that it was possible to “recover two of the stolen watches”.
Robberies at football players’ homes in Madrid are not uncommon. In recent years, stars such as Karim Benzema, Rodrygo and Dani Carvajal have suffered burglaries at their homes.
