Obama speaks out after talking about aliens

Former US president said he believed in life beyond Earth, but never saw any evidence during his term in office

The former president of the United States (Democratic Party) spoke again about . After saying he believes in intelligent life beyond Earth, but not in Area 51, he used his profile on Instagram, to “to clarify” your statement. The statement was made in an interview with presenter Brian Tyler Cohen’s podcast released on Saturday (14.Feb.2026).

Obama said he answered about aliens in the context of the quick question and answer game. Although he believes in alien life, he stressed that he has never seen it. “Statistically, the universe is so vast that the chances of there being life out there are good. […] I have not seen any evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us.”he wrote.

The debate has gained relevance in recent years, with congressional hearings and Department of Defense reports on unidentified aerial phenomena.

The discussion involves military spending, institutional transparency and requests from congressmen for greater disclosure of confidential data.

Area 51, an Air Force base in Nevada, has become a symbol of theories about extraterrestrial technology since the Cold War. North American authorities acknowledge the existence of the facility, but deny that the site houses aliens or captured spacecraft.

By stating that he has never seen aliens and that there have been no captures known to him, Obama sought to dispel speculation about presidential secrets.

The speech reinforces the official line that, to date, there is no public evidence of contact with extraterrestrial life – unless, as he ironized, if such information has been hidden even from the President of the United States.
